A NEW service station complete with a convenience store, a Greggs and a Costa has been welcomed by Winsford residents.
Located on Road One, the Winsford Gateway service station also includes a 24-hour BP petrol station, a 24-hour Londis shop and a Subway.
The service station opened on Friday, December 23, and has since received positive feedback from drivers, with the staff coming in for much praise.
Town mayor Cllr Joanne Moorcroft attended an opening event at the site on the Winsford Industrial Estate.
She said: “It was lovely to meet the staff and first customers when I attended the opening of Winsford’s newest petrol station and convenience store.
“It has everything you would expect, and importantly, it has created jobs for local residents.”
The Winsford Gateway service station is ‘the most prestigious site to date’ for the The Kay Group, according to founder Ken Kay, who started the business in 1972.
The company’s managing director, Richard Cox, who also attended the opening event, said: “All our staff have bespoke uniforms and are trained to deliver a superior service to our customers.
“We recognise that toilets are also important to our customers, and at our Winsford Gateway service station there’s a separate toilet block with a dedicated disabled toilet.”
