The Winsford Industrial Estate Business Improvement District (BID 4) proposal has now been finalised for 2021 – 2026.

This BID proposal will deliver a number of business led projects and services to support companies on Winsford Industrial Estate between 2021 -2026, to ensure that Winsford Industrial Estate retains its position as one of the premier trading environments in Cheshire.
During October/November 2020, every business on Winsford Industrial Estate will have a choice to make – that choice is to vote ‘YES’ or ‘No’ to approve the Winsford 1-5 Business Improvement District (BID 4).
Nearly fifteen years ago, the business community on Winsford Industrial Estate came together to overwhelmingly vote in favour of approving the first Industrial Estate Business Improvement in the UK, and since then, the estate has gone from strength to strength.
Over the years, the Business Improvement District has delivered many benefits to the estate, our own businesses and our employees. We have seen significant investments in a dedicated CCTV and ANPR system, mobile security services and other crime reduction initiatives, while a packed “free” training course schedule in a variety of topics has seen many of our employees develop their skill set. A number of capital investments have also been made across the estate, with landscape and aesthetic improvements high up on the agenda.
Over the next few weeks, BID Project Manager Hugh Shields will be contacting individual companies on Winsford Industrial Estate to discuss the proposal for BID 4 and answer any questions you may have. Voting papers will be released in the next 2 weeks, and your business will need to return your vote by post to Electoral Reform Services in London. To ensure your vote is counted, your voting paper will need to be posted 1st class by the 17th November at the latest. If you do not receive a postal vote paper by the 27th October 2020, please contact Hugh Shields on [email protected].
A successful “Yes vote” in November 2020 will see the BID 4 business plan continue to deliver a programme of new projects and maintain those projects and services delivered over the last 14 years.
Simply, if you Vote ‘No’ – everything that we have achieved so far will be lost and – worse – this opportunity will be lost. Please take the time to digest the content of this proposal and share this with your management teams and shareholders.
