Working for the UK’s largest garage equipment service company, you will be an integral part of our business development activities. Working in the distribution hub in Cheshire, you will supervise the complete warehouse function activities for garage equipment including larger items for both inbound and outbound activities in the safe working environment, whilst developing and leading a successful team.
As a Warehouse Supervisor for GEMCO you will be responsible for a team of operatives. You will identify and carry out continuous improvement activities, support organisational growth, provide support and carry out people management activities in line with company rules.

Role and Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage a team of stores operatives, ensuring correctly trained / skilled resources are allocated to the correct tasks delivering high customer satisfaction
· Continuously review resource levels and skills required to ensure we meet the demands of our customers, and any non-conformances escalated to General manager for immediate action
· Ensure the receive and process of warehouse stock products is carried out correctly i.e. unload, label and store and reporting any discrepancies for immediate action
· To receive and process equipment orders according to the schedule so they are prepared, complete ready for despatch or collection, ensuring the correct components are picked in full and are undamaged, reporting any discrepancies for immediate action
· To perform inventory controls and stock checks where applicable
· Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation, ensuring all Health and Safety polices are adhered to
· Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
· Ensure that all quality service standards, procedures, rules and regulations are comply with
· Participate when required in the interview process for new operatives, assessing candidates for competence and cultural fit.
· Complete investigations as required
· Other adhoc duties where necessary

Skills and Qualification
· Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment
· Proficient in inventory controls, software, database and systems
· IT literacy including Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel would be preferred
· Forklift driving licence
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Good organisational and time management skills
· Identify and execute opportunities for continuous improvement
· Excellent levels of communication at all levels
· Works well in a team environment
