From the onset of the pandemic, local family run business, Indigo Promotions Ltd stepped up and began playing a key role in the essential supply chain of Certificated PPE items from their Winsford base on Road One.
The firm have a long-established national reputation for supplying Promotional Merchandise including branded personal care items such as hand sanitiser.
Steve Johnson, managing director said: “For the past 20 years Indigo has been proud to have supported the NHS, Emergency Services, Councils, Charities and Businesses alike across the country with branded merchandise of all kinds”. The unprecedented shortage of PPE materials required has seen the supply chain under tremendous strain resulting in shortages across all items, our clients came to us asking if we could help.
Long established supplier relations and our ability to adapt our business quickly has been key in supporting our clients with their requirements, and amongst others we are delighted to have helped source and safely deliver both Cheshire East and West Councils with over 1 million face masks.
Emily Johnson-hicks, sales Director said: “We have been working tirelessly with both local and far flung manufacturer’s in order to dramatically increase production and availability of a wide range of items. All our PPE Items conform to the required regulations as you would expect and making factory inspections and obtaining the correct certification has been fundamental for us. Whilst we are proud to be doing our bit during this very challenging climate, ensuring we adhere to Government guidelines in keeping everyone safe remains the cornerstone of our operations with the majority of our workforce working remotely.
Supporting local needs is a top priority for us, In addition to supplying into the NHS & to Local Authorities for frontline workers, we are pleased to have secured additional stock allocated for local businesses and individuals alike.
The anticipated extended use of PPE in public facing situations, within the workplace & educational settings when the Government phases the country out of lockdown will likely see demand for PPE soar once again, and we will be ready. Steve added: “This year sees a significant milestone for Indigo, marking 20 years from when we were founded in the year 2000. Celebrations however have been put on hold until next year under the current circumstances, and right now our focus remains pointed towards supporting the PPE supply chain. We continue to be hugely appreciative of the NHS and all frontline workers, our thoughts and prayers are with them and with all those who are bereft and facing adversity at this time”.
